Kristiyan-Daniel

Kristiyan-Daniel V. Iliev was born in Bulgaria, Europe to a musical family of multilingual, educated professionals. His mother is an expert piano player and former journalist, and his grandmother a former elementary teacher who taught music, Slavic/Balkan languages, and more.

On his sixth birthday, he would find his life change with the opportunity of a lifetime from his father, a linguist with a master's degree (akin to his mother) as well as former university professor and language translator for the courts. He and his family were to move halfway across the world to the United States to pursue their American dream.

He now holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science and digital media arts [as dual majors] with studies in Spanish as well as a master’s degree in business administration (M.B.A.), both from Canisius University. He has always held a deep love, respect, and aspiration for many fields of academia and academic studies, including the theoretical, technical, practical, and experiential. In this same light, he has also always held a love for Ph.D. studies in the postgraduate field or sphere, as well as postdoctoral studies, close to his heart.

As a Sony music artist (songwriter/music producer with Sony/ATV Music Publishing), award-winning designer (collegiate distinction/thesis honors), video editor, animator/motion designer, computer scientist, and academic proficient in multiple languages, his culture, ethnicity, heritage, and background are the key that significantly influences his work.
